Laser Hair Removal (IPL)
Unwanted hair is a problem for many people both male and female. Traditional methods of hair removal such as shaving waxing and electrolysis involve ongoing, inconvenient and often painful treatment. Laser and Intense Pulse light hair removal is now established as the most effective and efficient treatment available.

How does it work?
As Laser or Pulsed Light enters the skin it is selectively absorbed by the melanin which surrounds the hair follicle. By delivering heat to the base of the follicle the hair root is destroyed and the hair falls out never to return. A course of treatment is required for best long term results as we can only treat hairs in the growing stage i.e that are visible on the skin surface. New phases of dormant hair will subsequently grow and can be treated with additional treatments. With each treatment the treated hair will fall our after 7-10 days and you will be hair free until the next phase appears( approx 6-8 weeks later). There are three phases of hair growth. With each treatment hair regrowth will be finer and lighter until you reach an end point of a desired result with little or no hair regrowth leaving your skin smooth and hair free.
How many treatments are required?
An initial course of 6 treatments is required. We can then assess if and how many additional treatments are required. This will vary between individuals and is related to hair thickness, colour, skin type and area treated. Some will require no further treatment others may require ongoing maintenenance treatment. The interval between treatments is longer the more treatment you have.
Is it painful?
With the latest technology available at our clinic treatment is now virtually pain free. We cool your skin before, during and after treatment to ensure maximum comfort levels and protect your skin.
Is it safe?
Laser and IPL treatment for hair removal is now very well established. Many thousands of people have been treated over the last ten years and as long as the treatment is perfomed correctly by trained professionals and you follow advice there should be no side effects at all.
Are results permanent?
Hairs treated effectively with our laser and IPL systems will not grow back and results therefore can be permanent. However, factors such as hormonal changes or polycyctic ovaries can results in new hair growth which may require ongoing additional treatment.
How much does it cost?
Treatments start at £45 for smaller areas such as upper lip and chin. For larger areas cost will depend on the size of area and density of hair. We offer very competitive prices for hair removal and will provide an exact costing up front at your consultation.
