Meet the Team
Professor Tony Chu, FRCP
Prof Chu trained at Guys Hospital, London, qualifying in 1975. He started his dermatology training at Guy’s Hospital and after a research sabbatical year at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York, he completed has dermatology training at St Johns Hospital for Diseases of the Skin in London. In 1982, he was awarded a Welcome Senior Research Fellowship and was appointed as a Senior Lecturer/Honorary Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Hammersmith Hospital. He is currently Professor of Dermatologic Oncology, University of Buckingham and Consultant Dermatologist at Imperial Health Care Trust, Hammersmith Hospital and Ealing District Hospital.
In addition to running a busy clinical service, Dr Chu runs an investigative laboratory studying skin carcinogenesisis, the immunobiology of acne and the Langerhans cell in physiological states and in the disease Langerhans cell histiocytosis. He has a major interest in the use of laser technology in the treatment of acne, psoriasis and vitiligo. He has also evaluated various non-invasive methods for treating acne scarring and has developed a panel of treatments that can target most patients with acne scarring. He was the founder of the Acne Support Group, the only World charity for the acne and rosacea sufferers and was the Honorary President of this charity.
Dr Benedetta Brazzini
Dr Benedetta Brazzini trained at the University of Florence, Italy and qualified in 1998. Commenced training in Dermatology and Venereology at the University of Florence, Italy in 1998 and qualified in 2002.
Researcher at the Department of Dermatology of the University of Florence until July 2004.
She has been consulting in private practise in both Florence, Italy and London, UK from June 2004. Since May 2008 she has also been working at the Dermatology Department of Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitls in London.
Dr Brazzini consults on all General Dermatology and is an experienced Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatologist with particular interest in ageing, melasma, acne and acne scarring. She has a long experience in dermal fillers, botulinum toxin injections, lase treatment for skin disorders and chemical peels
Member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, International Society of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society and European Society of Laser and Aesthetic Surgery.
Dr. Sangeeta Punjabi
Dr. Sangeeta Punjabi trained at University of Mumbai, India and qualified in Board certified examinations in Dermatology in 1994. She underwent further training at Royal London Hospital and worked as a Clinical research fellow from 1997 to 2000. Currently, she is attached to Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust , Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals as a dermatologist since 2001.
Dr Punjabi covers all aspects of general dermatology and has a keen interest in cosmetic procedures such as Botox , Fillers, Acne scarring, Chemical peels and Laser treatments for Acne and Rosacea.
